The Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Physical Education at the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) completed 22 years this year. O Postgraduate Program Stricto Sensu in Physical Education The Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) celebrated its 22nd anniversary this year. During this time, he formed 310 masters and 91 doctors, which are working in the various federal universities in the country, as well as in private institutions, State Secretaries, Non-Governmental Organizations, COB, among others, consolidating themselves as one of the best and most renowned Programs Stricto Sensu from Brazil.
With renowned teachers on the national and international scene, the Program focuses on Physical Activity, Health and Physical Performance, and this year it will start working in two lines of research: Biophysiological Aspects Related to Physical Activity, Health and Human Performance, and Psychosocial, Cultural and Pedagogical Aspects Related to Physical Activity, Health and Human Performance.
In an attempt to serve students from all regions of the country, the Program offers its subjects in modules, with weekly blocks once a month in different shifts, so that each of these weeks you can take two subjects.
The activities carried out under the Program, aligned with institutional policies, whether through each discipline offered in the curriculum, through its research and extension projects, the training of human resources and its intellectual production, are always supported by ethics, methodological rigor and commitment to the training of research teachers, with the purpose of returning to society competent, critical professionals capable of working in various areas of the academic, scientific and technological environment, highlights the Program Coordination.

LABORATORY FOR STUDIES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HEALTH (LEEFS)
The laboratory has in its team researchers, graduate students and scientific initiation who act as fundamental agents for advice, research development, studies, and for the training of human resources in physical activity and health. Its structure allows tests, physical and anthropometric evaluations to be carried out on children, adults and the elderly. In addition, resistance training and biochemical dosages have been carried out in research conducted by the PPGEF in the areas of Exercise Physiology and Physical Activity and Health in young people, adults, and the elderly who are healthy or pathological in this laboratory. Rest and exercise electrocardiograms are performed, as well as blood measurements of lactate, glycemia, glutamine, and glutamate using the YSI 2700. LEEFS also has a room equipped with weight machines for carrying out postgraduate and undergraduate care and research. LEEFS has a vivarium for the development of research involving resistance and aerobic exercise, and biochemical and biomolecular analyses in animal models.

LABORATORY OF IMMUNOGERONTOLOGY AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY APPLIED TO EXERCISE
It currently aggregates projects with essentially interdisciplinary characteristics and is shared by research professors from the master's programs in Gerontology (UCB), master/doctorate in Physical Education (UCB), as well as with some postgraduate programs in Health Sciences at the University of Brasília (UnB). In the laboratory, experiments are carried out, such as molecular biology analyses for the detection of human genetic polymorphisms, identification and quantification of micro-RNAS, analyses using real-time PCR, and the dosage of inflammatory mediators by ELISA. Therefore, the basic procedures (techniques) used are molecular biology, genetics, and immunology, seeking to provide support for research, extension, and teaching activities.
PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT AND TRAINING LABORATORY - LAFIT
LAFIT has state-of-the-art equipment in addition to having an excellent team of doctors, teachers and masters who work in the area of physical assessment and training. Currently, the structure of LAFIT encompasses three different laboratories:
• DIDACTIC EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY LABORATORY (LEFE): This laboratory is a didactic laboratory for practical classes, containing a gas analyzer, a belt, blackboard, and six MONARK mechanical cycle ergometers. This laboratory is used by Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, serving research and extension projects.
• EXERCISE BIOMECHANICS LABORATORY (LABIOMEC): The Exercise Biomechanics and Human Movement Analysis Laboratory studies the biomechanics of the human organism both in a static stage and during movement. Rest and exercise electromyography are performed, as well as gait analysis tests in athletes and non-athletes. In addition, LABIOMEC performs the function of promoting didactic and scientific integration between undergraduate, graduate and extension programs at the Catholic University of Brasília.
• BONE IMAGING AND DENSIOMETRY LABORATORY BIOMETRY AND BODY COMPOSITION STUDIES LABORATORY (LEBIO): The Bone Imaging and Densitometry Laboratory is primarily intended for studies and research with regard to the bone mineral content profile, diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis, through dual energy radiological absortometry (DEXA), also carrying out the scientific didactic integration and extension of undergraduate and graduate courses at the Catholic University of Brasília.

FORCE STUDIES LABORATORY (LABEF)
LABEF provides infrastructure for the practice of knowledge in disciplines such as Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sports Training, Gym Activities, as well as the identification and use of resistance training in different sports methodologies (swimming, volleyball, soccer, handball, etc.). LABEF also supports the research of students enrolled in the Postgraduate program in Physical Education, in addition to reserving schedules to allow the practice of regular physical exercise by its collaborators (teachers, staff, and students who are athletes or not).
SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHING LABORATORY
The Scientific Publishing Laboratory is responsible for the scientific journals linked to the Physical Education Graduate Program and Physical Education Graduation Program. The purpose of this Laboratory is for everyone, students and teachers, to have experience with the process of evaluating, editing, and selecting scientific articles that contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
LABORATORIES IN THE AREA OF GENOMIC SCIENCES AND BIOTECHNOLOGY
Since 2000, the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Catholic University of Brasília has been located on Campus II. The laboratory has a complete equipment infrastructure for the areas of Molecular Biology and Molecular Genetics, such as: DNA sequencing, basic Molecular Biology and Biochemistry techniques, laminar flow chapels, thermocyclers, microscopes, and others. The Graduate Program in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology has a space called the Center for Proteomic and Biochemistry Analysis where research is carried out in the areas of: Prospecting bioactive peptides; Evaluation of proteomics of resistant bacteria; Comparative proteomics studies in the area of animal, plant and microorganism physiology.
SPORTS AND HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY LABORATORY (LAPES)
In this laboratory, various researches are carried out in order to trace the psychological and gender profile of various segments of the academic community, such as students, athletes, and the elderly, among others.
LEISURE AND ADAPTED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LABORATORY (LAFA)
This Laboratory has the physical space provided by the University for Undergraduate and Postgraduate activities, with the swimming pool, the indoor sports courts and the rooms of the Integrated Motor Activities Center (CIAM). Around 220 children and adolescents with various disabilities (intellectual, physical, multiple, down syndrome and autism) are cared for

Master's degree: It is a stricto sensu graduate course, whose objective is to deepen the education obtained during graduation, granting an academic degree. The course lasts at least one year and, in addition to the preparation of the dissertation or final work, the candidate must study a certain number of subjects related to their area of concentration, as well as undergo partial and general exams.
Doctorate: It is a stricto sensu graduate course that certifies a person's ability to carry out research in a particular area of science. The courses must last at least two years and, in addition to the preparation of the thesis or final work, the candidate must study a certain number of subjects related to their area of concentration, as well as undergo partial and general exams.
As pós-graduações lato sensu compreendem programas de Especialização e incluem os cursos designados como MBA (Master Business Administration). Têm duração mínima de 360 horas. São abertos a candidatos diplomados em cursos superiores e que atendam às exigências das instituições de ensino. As pós-graduações stricto sensu compreendem programas de mestrado e doutorado. São abertos a candidatos diplomados em cursos superiores de graduação. Ao final do curso o aluno obterá grau acadêmico e diploma.
For regular students, fixed installments are charged, with annual adjustment.
